You can find stories about the thousands of animals displaced as a result of foreclosure and the housing crisis but it’s not talked about as much as it should be. The increase in abandoned animals is straining the resources of community animal shelters.
Gina works at Broadview Mortgage, if you bought your home with a home loan from Broadview you may have talked to or met Gina and you would know about the kindness in her heart and the passion she has for everything she does.
I would like to introduce you to the Gina’s greatest source of love and happiness, her two kids Savannah and Bella. Savannah and Bella are rescue dogs from the Norco Animal Shelter in Norco, California.
The reason I am telling you this is that the Norco Animal Shelter could really use your help.
Animal shelters have a great need for more than just money (even though cash donations are a great help!) – Animal lovers can also help by donating products to help care for animals in the shelter’s care.

I’m currently working on trying to place a cat that has been displaced due to housing issues. I feel that I am already at my limit with 3 of them and I simply can’t handle any more. Where’s a good resource? I’m in Sacramento.
Hi Brian,
Look for “no kill” shelters in your area. Here’s a list for California and it looks like there’s at least one in the Sacramento area – http://www.nokillnetwork.org/d/California
Luckily, there are many people that are working to resolve these challenges – Thank you for being one of them!
