Amy was misled.
She had been promised a CalSTRS loan and now her lender was trying to switch her to an inferior and more expensive loan.
She did some homework, and found this site.
She had some tough questions.
She gave me a call, and was able to get the answers she needed.
I started the process and found out that she had been told they could give her the CalSTRS loan.
Then they tried to switch her, and even after that, they couldn’t even give her what they tried to switch her into!
With time limits bearing down on her, we put her into the loan she wanted!
She was facing deadlines from the seller of the home.
The selling bank wanted results in a hurry.
We were able to approve, process and fund the loan inside of 3 weeks – just before the bank sold it from underneath her!
The moral of the story is don’t get bamboozled by promises.
Follow your gut instinct (when something doesn’t feel right), do some homework, and get educated!
