City of Campbell First Time Home Buyer’s Assistance,Mortgage Credit Certificate Program

First Time Home Buyer Program

The Campbell Redevelopment Agency approved $250,000 for the first time homebuyer program for fiscal year 2008-2009. Each individual deferred loan has a maximum amount of $25,000.

The major program requirements include: 1) Can’t have owned property in Santa Clara County within the last three years;
2) Maximum household income allowed is $84,985 for a household of one; $97,060 for a household of two; $109,250 for a household of three; and $121,325 for a household of four; 3) The property must be located in Campbell, regardless of mailing address and must pay taxes to Campbell.

Mortgage Credit Certificates

The Mortgage Credit Certificate Program (MCC) provides financial assistance in the form of a tax credit to first-time homebuyers for the purchase of single-family homes, townhomes and condomimiums. A first-time homebuyer is defined as a person who has not owned a principal residence within the last three years in Santa Clara County.
