MORTGAGE CREDIT CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
The El Dorado County Mortgage Credit Certificate Program is available to provide home purchase assistance in the City of South Lake Tahoe and the unincorporated areas of El Dorado County.
The Mortgage Credit Certificate Program reduces the amount of federal income taxes a homebuyer pays. This allows the homebuyer to qualify for a larger mortgage loan by increasing the household income. The Mortgage Credit Certificate is a 15% tax credit that is in effect for the life of the loan as long as the property remains owner-occupied.
For information about this program call (530) 621-6376 or (530) 621-6377.
